If you tend to attract adventurous tourists, our years of experience in life-scale AR experiences can help them find their way. UrWay's augmented reality directions can guide users directly to trail-head entrances, ski slopes, and even to noteworthy views at the edge of town.
AUGMENTED REALITY WAYFINDING
Using a combination of GPS and the app’s visual positioning system (VPS), users will be guided right to the steps of attractions within the town.
Real-time labels will appear above notable points of interest, giving users location-aware information to help them along the way.
The Origin of UrWay
UrWay was first developed in 2022 in partnership with The City of Ouray, Colorado - the outdoor recreation capital of the Colorado Rockies - and DAS Labs, an innovative AR and AI development team based out of the U.S.
Initially, we developed this mobile phone smart application to help visitors find activities around town, learn the name of Ouray's cherished landmarks and trails, and then even help climbers find the many varied climbing routes around town.
With support from Ouray’s tourism board, vendors and city council, we've worked hard to polish, iterate, test, and deliver an amazing tourism experience to Ouray that we plan to scale out as a product to other tourism hot spots!
